Welcome200x200Tour start and finish in Healdsburg, California:

Your tour begins at our Healdsburg Touring Center with a bike fitting and orientation by one or our professional guides. We'll take the time to review the route with you, give personal tips and advice and answer any questions you may have. After that you'll be traveling on your own, but we'll always be just a phone call away. Your rooms will be reserved and your luggage transferred and your mind at rest.

Day One: Green Valley & "West County"

Healdsburg to Occidental: (25 miles plus options). Down the east side of the Russian River Valley, past vineyards and old apple orchards, will take you to the town of Graton. Enjoy lunch at the Willow Wood Café, visit the cute shops and galleries or take a short side trip to visit Iron Horse Vineyards or one of the many other wineries in the area. But save some energy, because your day finishes with the challenge of a two mile climb (or walk if you choose!) up to the Town of Occidental!

Day Two: Pacific Ocean & Russian River

Occidental to Guerneville: (25 miles plus options). Spectacular Coleman Valley Road starts with a challenge but ends with an incredible reward.  Climb high on the bluff above the rugged Pacific as waves crash against the rocky shore.  Descend down to visit with the seals sunning on shore, or scratch your back on the mammoth rocks, before turning inland and  following the Russian River inland through the ranches and redwoods to the Town of Guerneville.

Day Three: Redwoods & Wine Country

Guerneville to Healdsburg (20 miles plus options). Start your day dwarfed by thousand year old trees day in nature’s cathedral at the Armstrong Woods Redwood Preserve. From there you’ll have the classic choice -- over the mountain or around the mountain? Choose "over" you'll experience the steep and spectacular Sweetwater Springs Road or "around" and lunch and a tour at Korbel "Champagne" Cellars. Either way you’ll spend your afternoon rolling past organic farms, vineyards and artisanal wineries.

Day Four: Healdsburg & The Dry Creek Valley

Healdsburg Loop (multiple distance options). Spend the day exploring the Dry Creek Valley and surrounding areas. You'll have options from a casual 15-25 mile winery tour to the challenge of climbing to the Lake Sonoma Lookout. It's beautiful, it's pastoral, its bicycle touring at its best!  And what better way is there to spend your last night than in the amazing town of Healdsburg.  Check out the farmer’s market, stroll off the plaza through the old Victorian & Craftsman neighborhoods, or relax in the Flying Goat with a coffee.

Vineyard Riders

Day Five: Alexander, Knights and Napa Valleys

Healdsburg to Calistoga (approximately 35 miles). Head off through the vineyards of Alexander Valley and follow Mayacamas Creek through the canyon and into Knights Valley.  After a moderate climb you’ll cross into Northern Napa Valley and the town of Calistoga. You’ll be welcomed as friends at Vincent Arroyo's winery and maybe peak in the cooperage to watch them toast a barrel or taste some olive oil with homemade bread as you explore one of the world’s most famous wine regions.  You’ll spend the night in a charming small town known for its world class wines, natural beauty and wonderful food.

Napavalley

Day Six: Explore Napa Valley

Napa Valley Loop (No minimum distance) Pedal the famous Silverado Trail to get “wowed” by over the top world class wineries or seek out the little family run places. For a casual day stop in the town of St. Helena for a great lunch at our favorite café and a stroll through the shops.  If your still up for adventure, take a climb up Old Toll Road along the Palisades or tackle Howell Mtn and Conn Valley Roads.  Take your last full day in your own style, because whatever your ready for we have a great route!

Day Seven: Departure Day

Take a last morning spin in the Calistoga area, enjoy the day at leisure, or depart early for home.
