"Supported self-guided" touring means you won't have a guide riding along with you, but you will have all the support, equipment and information you need to make your trip wonderful, relaxing and worry free.

When you arrive at your departure point, we will be there to greet you. We'll fit you to your bikes and provide you with all the cycling equipment that you need for your trip. You'll receive a custom created trip package that will include maps, route descriptions and area information. We'll take the time to review the route with you, give personal tips and advice and answer any questions you may have. After that you'll be traveling on your own, but we'll always be just a phone call away. Your rooms will be reserved, your luggage transferred and your trip worry free.

Why our self guided tours work so well:

Flexibility:  Because our tours are self guided you can start your tour any day of the year and do as few or as many days as you like. We can include stops or side trips to places that might be of particular interest to you; historical sites, special wineries, organic farms, etc. You can choose to add a morning hike, an afternoon of canoeing or a spa treatment. Since you aren't a part of a larger scheduled group we can select your lodging from any of the wonderful small Inns and B&B's in the area.

Custom Designed: Of course we have our favorite and most popular routes to suggest, but we take pride in designing a route to suit you perfectly.

Local knowledge: We have many years experience of riding daily in Sonoma & Napa and almost as many planning tours. We know the terrain, the traffic, the weather and can show you those amazing little back roads that you have to be local to discover. Because we live here, we eat in the restaurants, check out the local shops and continually explore the area. Since you're not traveling with a large group you can choose to stay in the small unique inns where you'll meet other travelers and get insider's information from the local innkeepers.

Freedom:  You are on your own schedule! If you want to ride earlier in the morning or sleep in longer, if you want to stop at every amazing view or none at all- it's all up to you. Travel with who you want, when you want and how you want!

Less expensive: You're not paying for a van to follow you all day and a guide to ride along- but you can still call us if you need us. We are a local company that has developed excellent relationships with the local inns & restaurants. Unlike the outside companies that offer a few trips a year in the Wine Country, our bikes, equipment and personnel are all local. We run an efficient operation- no big print catalogs, no large ads in the magazines.
